Direction for use
Adequate surface preparation as given below
is a must for product performance.
Surface preparation
Futura Sealer Coat is a
must on masonry surface to ensure maximum
penetration & adhesion to substrate.
New Masonary
New Futura-5 should not
be applied to concrete & other surfaces
less than 7 days old. Ideally concrete should
be allowed to cure for 28 days before application.
Power wash to ensure no underbound cement
remains on the surface. Allow surface to
dry. Apply Futura Sealer Coat
at a spread rate of 100-150 sq.ft. per ltre.
per coat depending on the porosity of the
concrete. Allow 2-4 hrs. to dry, if possible
wait 24 hours before application.
Existing Masonary
Power wash to remove all loosely adhered
coatings & other contaminants. Fill
existing cracks with Paintex (Acrylic
Latex Caulk) paintable sealant.
Apply Futura Sealer Coat
at a spread rate of 150-200 sq.ft. per ltr.
per coat depending on the porosity of the
concrete.
Application of futura-5
New Futura-5 can be applied
by airless spray, roller or brush. Coating
can be diluted with water. After thinning
with 10-20% water, apply first coat at a
spread rate of 8-8.5sq.mt.per ltr. per coat.
Allow to dry for 4 hours.(preferably 24
hrs.) Apply 2nd coat at a spread rate of
8.5-9 sq.mt. per ltr. per coat after thinning
with 10-20% water.
For New Constructions
Use Futura Sealer+ 50% diluted Futura-5
as primer coat & then 2 coats of New
Futura-5.
For slopping roofs
Reinforce New Futura-5
by incorporating a polyester mat of min.
thickness of 70gsm as a part of Sandwich
Membrane System. Lay this mat on the first
wet coat before application of subsequent
coats. System comprises of primer +1 coat
of New Futura-5 + polyester mat + 2coats
of New Futura-5.

Precautions
1. Use of Futura Sealer Coat is a must
2. Do not dilute Futura Sealer
3. Do not overthin New Futura-5 (not exceeding
20% water)
4. For better performance, fill the existing
cracks with Sealant
5. The substrate should
be free from chalking, dust, grease, loose
paint, fungus & algae.
Warranty
For a system Warranty of 5 yrs.
- 2 Coats of New Futura-5 (110 micron DFT)
in addition to Sealer Coat of Futura Sealer
For a system Warranty of 10 yrs.
- 4 coats of New Futura-5 (225 micron DFT)
in addition to Sealer Coat of Futura Sealer
Shelf Life
18 months if stored at room temperature.
