Features / Advantages
- Reacts in contact with water
by crystallization
- Does not shrink and crack after
curing
- Can be applied on a wet substrates
- Forms micro porous coating which
allows breathing of the substrate
- Can be applied both indoors and
outdoors.
- Resists both high positive (Hydrostatic)
water pressure (e.g. Swimming Pool)
and high negative (Underground)
water pressure (e.g. Basement).
- Non-toxic, non-dangerous and
odourless.
- It acts by perfectly plugging
pores in masonry.
- Approved for use in drinking
water tanks, reservoirs.
- It has very good resistance to
aggressive, non-mineralised water.
- Can be covered by renderings,
micro-porous paints and tiles (do
not use paints with a closed film,
e.g. enamel paints.
- Can be applied on wet supports,
Use the humidity of the support
to key into
in to the support.
Usage
- TECHFORCE is
used as a protective, waterproofing
system in buildings (Super structures
and Substructures).
For sealing under positive
water pressure
- Drinking water reservoirs, water
tanks- Pits of all kinds
- Agricultural silos
- Swimming pools
- Sea water pools
For sealing under negative water
pressure
- Cellars, basements
- Parking areas
- Lift Shafts
- Garage grease pits
- Galleries, tunnels and sewers
- Below-grade walls
Direction for
use
Surface Preparation
- Surface preparation
is the most important step before
application to get results and to
avoid failure.
- The substrate must be clean and
free of dirt, paint, grease, sludge,
fungus, cement coatings, blistered
and loose plasters etc.
- Moisture is necessary for the
effectiveness of TECHFORCE. Therefore,
wash & saturate the surface
with water before applying coating,
however, streaming water must be
diverted by creating drains.
- For appplication on dry or hot
walls, wet the walls with water
thoroughly before application. Avoid
application under direct sunlight.
- Do not apply in rain or if there
is risk of freezing.
- Before application of TECHFORCE,
seals the cracks with Polysulphide
Sealant TECHSEAL RDL-940. After
the application of PRIMER RDL- PRIMER
RDL – 942.Tool the sealant to a
uniform leveled surface
Application Method
- Apply the first coat of TECHFORCE
at 1kg/sq.m. laying it on generously
in
order to plug the pores and shrinking
cavities.
- After 24 hours, dampen then apply
the second coat at 0.800 kg/sq.m.
- Apply a third coat in the same
way, if necessary.
- Moisten or wet the surface between
two coats.
- Mixed material can be applied
with a small or large brush or with
a trowel.
- One coat is sufficient for a
good protection against dampness.
2 or 3 coats are necessary if water
pressure is very high.. It wil resist
a negative water pressure upto 1
kg//sq.cm.
Mixing
Pour clear water in a bucket and add
TECHFORCE slowly obtaining thick creamy
paste. It is advisable to mix with
electrical stirrer at slow speed until
a homogenous paste without lumps is
obtained. The consistency of the mixture
should enable a good and smooth application
by brush. If necessary, the mixture
can be diluted slightly by mixing
1% clean water to facilitate the smoothening
of second coat.
Table of consumption depending
upon water pressure

Precaution
- Do not apply on dry or hot substrates
or direct sunlight
- Do not apply in rain or if there
is a risk of freezing, i.e. temperature
lower
than 4°C.
- TECHFORCE coating is cement based
product therefore, must be used
as a
pasty cement coating and not as
white wash.
- Shelf life of the unmixed material
is one year from the date of manufacture.
- Store in cool and dry place
- In case of application in very
hot or windy weather, plan to dampen
the TECHFORCE during its setting
to avoid drying too fast, which
would cause the coating to ‘burn’.
Packing
5 kg & 25 kg
Note
It is recommended that this coating
should be overcoated with microporous
paints,which will not disturb the
breathing of TECHFORCE a well as wall.
