Features / Advantages
- BlackMaster L dries
to a seamless, highly elastic and waterproof
membrane.
- BlackMaster L is suitable
for horizontal and vertical surfaces above
and below ground.
- It bridges surface stresses and hairline
cracks.
- Excellent adhesion to dry, wet, absorbent
and non-absorbent surfaces.
- BlackMaster L is resistant
to all dilute acids or alkali, fumes or
fluid gases commonly used in the construction
industry.
- It is cold and heat resistant to weathering
and aging. Remains durable, elastic and
waterproof.
- In normal roof layer construction it
is not affected by spark or radiant heat.
- BlackMaster L is not
damaged by roots and not attacked by rodents.
- It is also available in a brushable
grade.
Recommended Application:
Basement Waterproofing
Choksey’s BlackMaster L
is particularly suitable for waterproofing
basements externally. BlackMaster
L is resistant to roots and is
not affected by aggressive ground water.
BlackMaster L is also ideal
for sealing soil-content floors against
rising damp.
Roof Waterproofing
Choksey's BlackMaster L
provides economical roof sealing. None of
the usual equipment or materials, such as
boiler, gas cylinder, burners or adhesives
is required. It seals flat, inclined or
vertical surfaces, joints to super structures
etc. It can be painted over with a reflective
and elastic water based paint. The roof
surfaces should preferably be slightly inclined
to ensure adequate drainage and prevent
formation of puddles.
Thick coatings of BlackMaster L
act as a vapour barrier and water drainage
should be provided beneath the coating e.g.
with perforated bitumen sheet if vapour
pressure build-up is anticipated.
For accessible roofs a protective screed
should be provided. A PE vapour barrier
sheet should be placed between the BlackMaster
L and the screed. The cement /
sand screed should be at least 30 mm thick.
Waterproofing of Wet rooms and showers
BlackMaster L is solvent
free thus eliminating any danger of fire,
explosion or health-risks and permitting
application in confined spaces.
Coverage
BlackMaster L should be applied @1-4.5 m2/ltr/.per
coat. Depending upon the requirements and
also on the gravity of the leakages, BlackMaster
L may be applied in two or three
coats.
Properties and Applications
It acts as an adhesive-for bonding, insulation
board, and expanded polystyrene and cork
tiles.
It is suitable for both indoor and outdoor
sealing.

brush.
2. Give min. flash off of 2 hrs for drying.
3. Apply membrane on primed surface by airless
spray; brush or squeeze can apply it. All
surfaces to which it is applied must be
sound, stable with an even finish and free
from dust, loose
debris etc. It may be applied to damp but
not water logged surfaces.
Where subsequent coats are to be applied,
the first coat must be dry.
Cleaning of tools and equipments
Use water for cleaning tools immediately
after use.
