build hard wearing, chemical and
abrasion resistant coating. It can
be used as slip resistant coating
in wet
areas where a medium degree of chemical
resistance is required e.g. breweries,
dairies, soft drink production plants
etc.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE
SURFACE PREPARATION
Surface preparation is of great importance
and will affect adhesion and life
of coating. Surface should be dry,
free from dust, loose particles, damaged
plasters, grease etc. Thorough wire
brushing of the surface is must.
PRIMING
Apply a coat of :MASTERPRIME 50 primer.
When tile primer is tacky about 30
min after application of Primer apply
Top coat.
MIXING
Mastercoat PU 85 is supplied in pre-
weighed quantities ready to use on
sites. Mix with a slow speed drill
with paddle mixer to mix Part I and
part II for at least 3 minutes. Mix
these components in quantities supplied
taking care to ensure all containers
are scrapped clean. Do not add solvent
or thinner.
APPLICATION
Mastercoat PU 85 Coating should be
applied using medium pile roller or
brush to achieve a continuous coating
over the prime surface.
Note: After applying
MASTERCOAT PU 85 on roof as waterproof
coating, the film of MASTERCOAT PU
85 has to be protected by Cement:Sand
(1:4) mortar to a minimum thickness
of 2 inch.
COVERAGE
MASTERCOAT PU 85 Covers Approximately
about 6 to 8 Square meter per coat
per Kilogram, Normally 2 coats are
recommended to achieve about 125 to
150 micron thickness. The coverage
depends on the nature of the substrate.
CLEANING OF TOOLS & EQUIPMENTS
Tool and equipments can be cleaned
immediately with solvents like Xylene.
Toluene or Acetone etc.
STORAGE AND SHELF LIFE
Store the material at a cool &
dry place (at 25°C Temp. &
50% RH.) Shelf life is one year when
materials are stored in unopened containers
as per recommended storage conditions.
PACKING: 1 Kg. &
5kg, (Bulk packing as per Customer
requirement)
PRECAUTIONS:
- Use gloves while application.
- If mixed resin comes in contact
with skin, it must be removed, before
it
hardens with resin removing cream,
followed by washing with soap and
water!
do not use solvent.
- In case of eye contamination,
wash with plenty of clean water
and seek medical advice.
- It is flammable please
don't keep near fire.
