Technical Information

Anti Carbonation:
Atmospheric carbon dioxide, air borne chlorides, acids rain, weathering etc, adversely affect concrete surfaces by a process known as carbonation.
Over a period of time the protection of steel from corrosion by the alkaline conditions of cement is neutralized and corrosion of steel occurs, which is of critical significance. Choksey's Anti-carbonation coating i.e. Tech Guard 103 protects the reinforced concrete by preventing this process of carbonation.

Direction for use

Surface preparation
Substrate must be clean / free from dust and loose particles. All holes and cracks must be filled with a suitable filler material such as Paintex or Polysulphide Sealants - Techseal
All traces of oil, grease or other contaminants must be removed.

Priming
The new concrete surface must be at least 14 days old before coating or in case of doubt full curing of 28 days to be given.
A future sealer coat is to be applied before topcoat.
On old or porous surface, ensure that the substrate is sound. Priming to be done future sealer coat and then Tech Guard 103.
Tech Guard 103 can be applied with brush.

Coverage
Tech Guard 103 will cover 35-40 sq.ft /ltr /2 coats.

Dilution
Add 20 % of water and stir well before application
There should be a gap of min 6 hrs between primer and first coat of Tech Guard 103
Second coat is to be applied after 8- 10 hrs.

Packing: 18 kg
Storage conditions store at a dry place at Room Temp.

Shelf life
18 months from the date of mfg.
