Features /
Advantages
- It controls the rate of setting
of concrete and mortars.
- It improves workability and easier
handling.
- It retains the workability upto
three hours.
- It reduces segregation and bleeding.
- It can be used even for micro
silica, fly ash and slag cement
concrete
- It improves finished appearances
of the hardened concrete.
- It reduces shrinkage and permeability
of hardened concrete.
- It increases strength of the
concrete and mortar.
- It reduces cracking.
- It eliminates formation of cold
joints between subsequent pours
in mass or structural concrete.
- It entrains minimal air without
affecting strength parameters.
- It is based on Sulphonated Naphthalene
formaldehyde polymer.
- It does not contain chlorides
or nitrates.
Usage
- It is widely used in ready mix
concrete.
- Masterplast SPL-9 is particularly
recommended for concreting in hot
climates, long or difficult pours,
prestressed concrete in large sections
or mass concreting.
- It is used in concrete of all
classes.
- • It is used more specifically
in:
- Pavement concrete
- Structural concrete
- Bridge decks & Highway concrete
- Light weight concrete and Expansive
concrete.

Directions
For Use:
Dosage:
To get the required workability retention
of concrete mixes depends upon the
ambient temperature and other factors.
Hence trial mixes should therefore
be performed. The normal dose is 0.05
to 0.75 ltr. per 50 kgs. of cement.
A dosage upto 1 litre per 50 kgs.
of cement can be used when micro silica,
fly ash, slag cement etc, are present
in the mix. Masterplast SPL-9
should be added to the wet mix or
mixing (gauging) water. It should
not be added to dry cement. For addition
of Masterplast SPL-9
a dispenser or exact measuring container
is recommended. Stir well before use.
Cleaning Of Tools & Equipments
Tools and equipments can be cleaned
with Water.
Storage And Shelf Life
- Store the material at a cool
& dry place (preferably at 30°C
Temp. or at room temperature).
- Shelf life is two years.
- It will freeze at (thawing) temperatures
but can be reconstituted by stirring.
Packing
5 Litre, 20 Litre, 200 Litre, or as
per requirement.
Precautions
- Do not mix it with dry cement
- Add to mixing (gauging) water
or directly to the mix.
- Stir well before use.
